Strong Girls Play Hockey

Strong girls (and women) play hockey. I learned this by watching my daughter become a competitor in the classroom and later in the work force. Hockey helped make her equal to the boys. In fact, she at age 12, was bigger and stronger than the boys. Eventually they caught up in size, but she still has a bigger and stronger personality than many of them.

Hockey made me strong when I was fighting breast cancer. As I went through the diagnosis and treatment I managed to achieve my USA Hockey Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Coaching Certification. As my reward for beating breast cancer I advanced with my Level 4 certification. A year later I achieved my Level 5 certification, the highest offered by USA Hockey. Hockey kept my mind occupied with life, living, improving, friends, family and fun. My cancer took a back seat.

Strong women play hockey. Join us on the ice! Visit http://www.icoachhockey.com/ for many ice hockey skills clinics, private and semiprivate hockey skating lessons, pick up scrimmages and other ways to get involved with the great sport of hockey.
